We had to nuke the computer

Sigh. I am very glad I sent all of my files to my email, put them on a flash drive, and hopefully burned them onto some discs because last night we had to nuke the computer. I hope that it managed to annihilate the bloody virus that made the nuke option necessary. Now I get to see if my back up discs are current enough or how much info I lost – I am mostly concerned about all of the photos and book covers I’ve taken/made as well as the book files – if they don’t pick up stray bits of data when they transfer. Luckily, I keep the SD cards that have my pictures for this very reason. It’s a matter of remembering where I put the digital back ups that worries me….

Important reminder of the day: ALWAYS back up your files.

ETA: Grr, now I have to try to reconfigure the darn computer. It’s so easy to forget how much info gets put onto the computer – until you have to put it all on at once.
